The last two months have been exciting ones here at Draper Esprit as we continue to scale our team and reinforce our infrastructure to enable us to deploy capital even more efficiently. We’ve added a number of new members to team joining the Platform team, Finance & Compliance team as well as our EIS team.

George Chalmers – Associate
George joins us after two and half years as Founder and CEO of energy price comparison site migrate.co.uk, for which he raised £1m Seed investment, and is now part of Octopus Energy. Prior to starting his business, he spent six years with Credit Suisse European Equity Sales, finishing his time there in a VP role.
George has a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Durham, an MPhil in Management from the University of Cambridge and a CFA.
Rebecca Hill
Rebecca is a graduate from the University of Oxford and BPP Law School she worked as a lawyer for five years with international business law firm Jones Day, including a secondment with Goldman Sachs.
Rebecca made the switch to start-ups and worked as Legal Counsel with Crowdcube before undertaking her MBA with London Business School from which she is due to graduate in Spring 2021.
Jonathon (Jon) Quick – Finance & Operations
Jon has a Psychology degree from the University of Birmingham. He began his career in the audit department of an independent accountancy practice where he qualified as a chartered certified accountant and progressed to become an audit manager. He then joined ValueClick Inc., a NASDAQ listed, online-marketing business, where he was responsible for the financial reporting and control of a European subsidiary. He also spent a year in Sierra Leone, heading up the finance and administration department of a charity.
He has spent the last 6 years at Oxford Capital working in Finance and Operations Jon brings a significant amount of operational expertise in EIS to our team.
Leonora Ross-Skinner – Associate
Leonora joins us from British AI Cybersecurity unicorn Darktrace, where she spent 2.5 years in enterprise sales with a focus on the Nordics and Middle East regions, having progressed to EMEA team lead before her departure.
Leonora is a BSc graduate of the UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences and earned her MSc from Cass Business School.
Paul-Louis Lépine – Associate
Paul-Louis joins us from Spanish on-demand delivery unicorn Glovo, where he worked cross-functionally in his role within Glovo’s strategy team. Prior to Glovo, he spent two years as a consultant with Roland Berger in the UK.
A native of France, Paul-Louis holds a Master in Management from EDHEC (Grande Ecole Programme) and a Diploma in Accounting & Finance from LSE.
Robert (Robby) Glass – Legal Counsel
Robby joins us from the law firm Withers Tech (previously known as JAG Shaw Baker), a global venture capital and technology legal practice. At Withers, he focused on advising VC funds and start-ups on funding rounds, predominantly acting investor side.
Additionally, he acted as de facto outside counsel for several VC funds, reviewing documents for follow on rounds and portfolio company exits, as well as assisting funds in developing standard term sheets and answering ad hoc questions for the fund and their portfolio companies, both in Europe and US.
